Most walking pads are rated for a user weight of 100 or 110 kg (220 to 243 lb). If you are above that, product descriptions often only give vague information. Eleven walking pads went through my tests, and their load capacity ranges from 100 to 136 kg. Here you find all values at a glance, what the ratings mean in practice and which models suit heavier users.
In short
The WalkingPad A1 Pro and the WalkingPad X218 are rated up to 136 kg (300 lb), the KUIPERS K1 up to 135 kg, the Sperax P2 Pro up to 120 kg (265 lb). All other KingSmith models stop at 110 kg (243 lb), the P1 at 100 kg (220 lb). I have not yet tested a walking pad rated for 150 or 200 kg.

What the manufacturer rating means
The maximum user weight is the manufacturer’s figure for continuous operation. When walking, every step puts considerably more than your body weight on belt, deck and motor, and jogging adds more still. That is why I would not push the limit: if you weigh 105 kg, a model rated for 136 kg serves you better than one rated for 110, because motor and bearings work with a margin and the device lasts longer.
I cannot verify these limits myself, I weigh around 86 kg (190 lb). What I can judge is the walking feel: the A1 Pro and the X218 feel the most robust when walking and running, the Z1 with its narrower, slightly raised running surface feels the most delicate.
The models for heavier users in detail
WalkingPad A1 Pro: 136 kg in a compact format
The A1 Pro is the only compact walking pad up to 6 km/h in my tests that carries 136 kg. It folds in the middle, has a 932-watt motor, remote control, app and child lock. Its only major drawback is the loud fan, which is annoying while working.
WalkingPad X218: 136 kg and 18 km/h
The X218 is the powerhouse: the widest running surface at 51 cm, up to 18 km/h and also 136 kg of load capacity. It is more treadmill than walking pad, weighs 61 kg and is delivered by a two-person team. For heavier users who also want to jog, there is nothing comparable in my test field.
KUIPERS K1: 135 kg with a solid wood frame
The K1 carries 135 kg at only 20 kg of its own weight and a height of 13 cm. It is limited to walking at the desk, but quiet and with very fine speed control. It is currently sold in Germany only, the review is in German.

What heavier users should also look for
- Width of the running surface: From 44 cm it feels more relaxed, the X218 offers 51 cm.
- Cushioning: Multi-layer decks like on the Z3 Hybrid+ protect the joints.
- Motor power: 900 watts and more keep the pace constant even under higher load.
- Handrail: Models with a handrail like the X214, R2 or Z3 Hybrid+ give you security when stepping on and off.
- Floor protection mat: It dampens vibrations, which increase with weight, and protects the floor.
My verdict
For users up to 110 kg almost all models fit, above 110 kg the A1 Pro, X218 and K1 remain. If you weigh well over 136 kg, you will not find a suitable device in my test field at the moment and should look at classic treadmills with a higher load rating. All details on every model are in the linked reviews and in my walking pad reviews.
Frequently asked questions about walking pad weight limits
Which walking pad carries 150 kg?
None in my tests. The highest ratings are the WalkingPad A1 Pro and the X218 with 136 kg (300 lb), followed by the KUIPERS K1 with 135 kg.
Which walking pad is rated up to 130 kg?
A1 Pro and X218 with 136 kg and the KUIPERS K1 with 135 kg. The Sperax P2 Pro stops at 120 kg, all other KingSmith models at 110 kg.

Better not. When walking, more than your body weight acts on belt and motor. A model with a margin runs more smoothly and lasts longer.

The WalkingPad X218 with 51 cm width and 140 cm length. X214 and X21 offer 46 cm.
