Sperax P2 Pro Review

The Sperax P2 Pro is a 2-in-1 device combining a walking pad and a vibration plate with a manual incline of up to 10 %. At 14 kg (31 lb) it is extremely light, arrives pre-assembled and can be used straight away. It loses points for noise, because the fan kicks in audibly from time to time. Important: the model is no longer sold; in the buy box I link a comparable alternative.

Sperax P2 Pro review

Below I share my ratings from the test in detail.

This is a single review. You can find all my other walking pad and treadmill reviews in the walking pad category.

Design & build quality ★★★★☆ (4,2/5)

The P2 Pro is compact, light and modern. The black design with red accents looks high-quality, and the build is solid overall. The low weight makes handling extremely easy, but at the same time you notice that it does not quite reach the stability of a heavy treadmill.

CategoryRatingComment
Material quality4.1/5Light, functional, decent build
Stability4.0/5Solid for walking, but the light construction reduces the solid feel a little
Transport wheels4.5/5Very easy to move, even in small rooms
Looks4.4/5Modern, black with red accents, attractive design
Mechanism/incline4.2/5Locking mechanism works reliably, but is a bit stiff

Functionality ★★★★☆ (4,4/5)

The P2 Pro combines walking, incline and a vibration plate in one device, absolutely unique in this price range. The programs in the app, the vibration modes and the secure incline mechanism make it very versatile.

CategoryRatingComment
Speed range4.0/5Up to approx. 6 km/h (3.8 mph), sufficient for walking
Vibration function4.8/5Four modes, powerful, very effective for relaxation
Incline function4.6/50 %, 5 % and 10 %, locks securely with a noticeable effect
Tracking/display4.2/5Minimalist, but shows all the important values
Programs/workouts4.6/5Many free programs in the app, well implemented

Ease of use ★★★★☆ (4,3/5)

Thanks to its low weight and pre-assembled design, the P2 Pro is particularly user-friendly. It is easy to carry and can be used immediately. The app is well structured; only minor points such as missing batteries and unsynchronised runs are slightly annoying.

CategoryRatingComment
Setup/start5.0/5Fully pre-assembled, ready to use immediately

On-device controls4.2/5Minimalist, intuitive controls
App control4.1/5Well structured, but active runs are not synced afterwards
Accessories/comfort3.8/5No batteries for the remote; oil & manual good

Performance ★★★★☆ (4,3/5)

For a light walking pad, the P2 Pro delivers solid performance. The walking motion is pleasant, the incline function offers a more intense workout, and the vibration plate is real added value. It is not designed for fast running, but the manufacturer says so too.

CategoryRatingComment
Walking feel4.3/5Pleasant, smooth and safe up to top speed
Cushioning4.2/5Soft, sufficient for walking
Stability at speed4.0/5Not meant for fast running, but stable for walking
Motor power4.2/5Solid, fan runs regularly for cooling
Incline/intensity4.6/510 % incline noticeably strenuous and effective

Noise ★★★★☆ (3,7/5)

The fan is the most noticeable point in the test. It switches on automatically, is clearly audible and sometimes runs on. The walking noise itself is pleasantly quiet, but the fan clearly stands out in comparison.

CategoryRatingComment
Motor noise4.2/5Pleasantly quiet while walking
Walking noise4.3/5Soft steps, even at a higher incline
Fan noise3.0/5Clearly audible, kicks in regularly
Home-office suitability3.6/5Possible, but the fan is disturbing in a quiet environment
Vibration3.5/5Transfers slightly to the floor, depending on the surface

Value for money ★★★★☆ (4,5/5)

For around €150 to €250 (depending on the discount), the P2 Pro offered a broad feature package that was unique in this price range. The vibration plate plus incline in particular made it extremely competitive.

Detailed review

The rating tables above give you a quick overview, but numbers alone do not tell the whole story. What does the vibration mode really feel like? Here is my detailed test log, based on my video review and the daily kilometres at my desk.

Unboxing and first impression

The delivery arrives securely packed and weighs only about 17 kg in total. That means you can carry the package into your flat on your own. The unit is largely pre-assembled, so no complicated assembly is needed.

Sealed box of the Sperax P2 Pro walking vibration pad with a box cutter

Besides the walking pad, the box contains:

  • Power cable
  • Silicone oil for maintenance
  • L-shaped Allen key
  • Remote control (without batteries)
  • User manual

Preparation: oiling and first start

Before the first use, you should lubricate the treadmill. I used the supplied silicone oil and laid the unit on its side so the oil runs evenly under the belt. In general, I oil treadmills as soon as friction noises increase or when they have not been used for a longer time.

After inserting the batteries into the remote and connecting it to the mains, the pad can be started immediately. The starting speed is very low (0.3 km/h) and increases by 0.1 km/h with every press of the button, ideal for a slow start and fine speed control.

Vibration function: more than just walking

The special feature of the P2 Pro is the vibration plate. Before starting, stand sideways and position yourself securely, because the vibration starts immediately when you press the button. There are four vibration modes:

  • Gentle mode
  • Strong mode
  • Light waves
  • Strong waves

The vibration is felt up to about hip level and runs for 5 minutes by default; it can be stopped manually at any time. In practice, it relaxed my legs noticeably after walking, better than expected.

Display and controls

The display is minimalist but shows everything essential: incline in percent, time, speed, steps and distance. For most users, that is sufficient and clear.

Testing the incline: 5 % and 10 % via the locking mechanism

The height adjustment works via a mechanical locking mechanism. Simply lift the front, and the pad locks at 5 %; lifting further gives you the 10 % level. To lower it again, you lift the unit slightly higher once more. The construction is safe and stable.

I tested both levels. At 5 %, walking felt pleasantly challenging; at 10 %, it became noticeably more strenuous, and you really start to sweat. I weigh about 82 kg and am 1.86 m tall; the training surface (105 x 42 cm) was sufficient for me.

App functions and Bluetooth

The Sperax Fitness app connects via Bluetooth and offers more than just remote control:

  • Tracking of walks
  • Training programs combining walking and vibration phases
  • Creating your own training plans
  • Display of fan activity and placement tips

A note on units: mine was set to mph by default; you can switch to km/h in the settings. The maximum display of 3.8 mph corresponds to about 6 km/h. Training programs run automatically and give a warning signal before speed changes, practical and safe.

The only point of criticism here: if you have already started the workout and only open the app later, the ongoing session is not synchronised. That would be a practical improvement.

Safety: mode changes only when stopped

Switching between walking and vibration only works when the unit is stopped in the respective mode. While the pad is running, the vibration function cannot be activated, and vice versa. That is an important safety feature that prevents accidents.

10,000-step test: durability and everyday suitability

I tested whether the pad can handle 10,000 steps without a break. Result: yes. In around 2 hours, the P2 Pro managed the 10,000 steps well. In between, I walked 15 minutes each at 5 % and 10 %.

Key technical data that matters:

  • Max. load: 120 kg
  • Weight: approx. 14 kg
  • Training surface: 105 x 42 cm
  • Overall dimensions: 112.5 x 56.5 cm
  • Height: 9.5 cm (can be stored under furniture)

Fan noise and heat dissipation

During longer sessions, a fan switches on regularly to cool the motor. It is clearly audible and sometimes runs on after the workout. For me, this is the biggest wish for improvement: quieter fan control or better insulation.

Design, transport and storage

The pad looks high-quality in black with red accents. Thanks to its low weight and the transport wheels, it is easy to move around the room. Alternatively, you can stand it upright; make sure it cannot tip over.

Strengths and weaknesses

  • Strengths: compact, high load capacity, unique vibration function, 5 % and 10 % incline, many free training programs in the app
  • Weaknesses: remote without batteries, audible fan, app does not sync ongoing sessions afterwards

My three suggestions for improvement

  1. Include batteries for the remote.
  2. Optimise fan noise or motor decoupling.
  3. Implement syncing of active sessions when the app is started.

Verdict

The Sperax P2 Pro is fun and offers many functions for its size: secure incline levels, a genuinely useful vibration function and an extensive app with free programs. For anyone with little space who does not want to miss out on variety and a bit more intensity, the model was a very good choice at an affordable price.
