Almost everyone knows tension in the back, neck or shoulders, especially after long hours at the desk. The Bob & Brad EZBack Go is meant to provide uncomplicated relief right there: as a cordless 4D shiatsu massage cushion with heat for the sofa, bed, office chair or on the go.
I tried the device for two weeks. My impression up front: the EZBack Go is well made, pleasantly quiet and delivers a surprisingly strong kneading massage. Its clear advantage over corded massage cushions is the freedom to use it without a power socket wherever relaxation is needed.
Besides the massage cushion, the box contains a multilingual manual and a charging cable. A separate charging station is not included.
The cushion itself looks modern and cleanly made. The fabric feels pleasant, and the integrated carrying handle really pays off in everyday life. It lets you quickly take the device from the sofa to the study or the bedroom.
On the back sit the flexible fastening straps. With them the EZBack Go can be fixed to a chair backrest without constantly slipping during the massage.
The controls are pleasantly uncomplicated: two buttons and a small LED indicator are enough. They let you set the essential functions without working through complicated menus.

The heat is indicated by red light of different intensity. In a darker room the difference is particularly easy to see. I found both levels pleasantly soft: the warmth is noticeable without becoming uncomfortably hot, and it complements the massage very well.
Inside work kneading nodes that tilt by up to 35 degrees. That creates not just a circular movement in one spot. The cushion rather simulates the pressure of thumbs in a classic massage and works pleasantly deep right next to the spine.
The massage is definitely not too timid. If you are looking for a noticeable treatment for tense muscles, you get plenty of pressure here. At the same time, the intensity was not unpleasant in my test as long as the cushion is positioned correctly.
What matters: the spine should sit centrally between the kneading nodes. That way it does not come into direct contact with the massage heads and the treatment concentrates on the muscles next to it.
The straps are easy to adjust. Open the buckle, adapt the length to the chair backrest, attach the cushion, done. That works for the lower and upper back as well as for the shoulder area and neck.
While working, I usually worked my way from bottom to top and used each back position for about ten minutes. That is especially practical when the lower back is tense after long sitting and you then want to treat the area between the shoulder blades.
For back massages on the chair, the fastening is genuinely helpful. The cushion stays in position while you lean against it and can then be moved to another height with a few movements.
The EZBack Go can also be used to massage thighs or calves. Bony areas and varicose veins should be avoided. As with all massage devices, the manufacturer’s official instructions take precedence and should be observed before first use.
For me, the biggest plus of the EZBack Go is the cordless use. No power cable hangs from the armchair, no cable limits the position on the sofa, and the cushion can be placed freely in bed as well.

With a fully charged battery I got around 70 minutes of runtime including the activated heat function. That is enough for several short sessions before the cushion has to go back on the charging cable.
On the sofa it becomes clear why the cordless design is so pleasant. Place the cushion under your neck, switch on the heat and simply switch off for a few minutes.
The breathable 3D mesh fabric adapts to the body and gives slightly under pressure. It does not feel intrusive and does not get uncomfortably warm during use either. On top of that, the device works very quietly. At under 45 dB the massage stays in the background instead of filling the room.
The ergonomic shape is designed so that the cushion works well in both directions. Depending on how you turn it, it can be positioned to suit the neck, shoulders or back.
After about ten minutes the EZBack Go switches off automatically. That is a sensible protective function so that a single spot is not massaged for too long. At the same time it is a good reminder to change position, for example from the lower to the upper back or from the neck to the shoulders.
The Bob & Brad EZBack Go is a very good choice for anyone who regularly deals with tension in the back or neck and is looking for a mobile massage device with noticeable intensity.
